In 2024, COFCO fully implemented the guiding principles from the Central Rural Work Conference, anchored on the goal of building a strong agricultural country, and made full use of its entire agri-food industry chain advantages. We closely aligned our assistance efforts with the local resources and socio-economic development of the supported counties, innovating support measures and strengthening industrial support. By introducing more financial resources, COFCO aimed to further enhance the effectiveness of its assistance work, promoting agricultural efficiency, rural vitality, and increasing farmers' incomes.

In industrial revitalization, both upstream and downstream agri-food industry chains and financial support play a crucial role. COFCO utilizes our position as a leader in the industry chain to integrate the advantages of its industrial system with rural resources. Working together with agricultural suppliers and distributors, we develop tailored, integrated, and diverse paths for upgrading agri-food industry chains. Through mechanisms such as financial insurance, technical guidance, innovative procurement and storage and collection methods, talent development, and profit-sharing, COFCO guides and organizes farmers to integrate into the modern agricultural system, broadening channels for farmers to increase their income and wealth. This approach transforms vast rural areas into beautiful and livable communities suitable for both living and working.

Strengthening environmental protection to enhance green and low-carbon development

In 2024, COFCO adopted the philosophy of "green industry chains, low-carbon good products" and adhered to the strategic direction of building a "resource-conserving, environmentally friendly" enterprise while enhancing sustainable development capabilities. The company coordinated industrial structural adjustments, pollution control, environmental protection, and climate change mitigation, actively advancing carbon peaking and carbon neutrality actions, continuously working to improve the blue sky, clear water, and clean soil, with green and low-carbon development achieving new results. COFCO places food safety and safe production at the top of its priorities for corporate development. The company has strengthened its risk prevention and control system to ensure that all risks are manageable and controllable.

Overseas, we embraced our corporate responsibilities, integrating into local communities, supporting local economic and social development, and sharing the benefits and opportunities of growth.

In 2024, we enhanced emergency response and ensured supplies for major events. We focus on providing comprehensive services and contributing to regional coordinated development. We engage in social welfare, supporting the healthy development of volunteer services and charity, and safeguarding and improving people's livelihoods.
