Building a sustainable new framework as a leader in the agri-food supply chain
Optimizing industrial planning to strengthen agri-food supply chains
It is essential to improve the system to strengthen the resilience and security of industry and supply chains. COFCO focuses on our core businesses in grain, oil, sugar, cotton, meat, and dairy, and remains committed to advancing these sectors toward high-end, smart, green, and integrated development. By leveraging key projects to guide our strategic planning and dynamically optimizing resource allocation, we utilize our end-to-end capabilities across planting, storage, processing, logistics, trade, and consumption. These efforts accelerate the establishment of a modern agricultural industry system aligned with new quality productive forces, positioning us to lead the transformation of the agri-food industry and supply chains.
In 2024, COFCO remained focused on our core functions and responded strategically to emerging challenges and changes. By expanding our footprint and increasing production capacity, we deepened our efforts in key areas such as warehousing and logistics, wheat processing, oil processing, corn deep processing, sugar trade and processing, and pig farming. These efforts strengthened our asset network across overseas and domestic markets, production and consumption regions, inland and coastal areas, as well as processing and trading operations—ensuring a more stable, secure, and higherquality supply of grain and other essential agricultural products.
Leveraging synergy to build a resilient and secure supply chain
In 2024, COFCO continued to strengthen, extend, and upgrade its supply chain by expanding into overseas warehousing and logistics, domestic warehousing and logistics, wheat processing, oil processing, corn deep processing, sugar trade and processing, and pig farming. We have established long-term stable partnerships with key grain producers, logistics companies, strategic clients, and industry leaders. By leading the formation of industry development communities, we enhanced supply-demand connections and promotes the integration and cooperative growth of upstream, midstream, and downstream businesses, as well as companies of all sizes. This collaborative approach drove the building of a safer, more stable, and resilient agrifood industry supply chain.
Meanwhile, we played a key role in stabilizing grain prices, market expectations, and supply, ensuring smooth grain procurement and storage. This effort supported the stable operation of the grain market and helped maintain the income of grain farmers. We also strengthened financial services by providing specialized industry loans to address the funding challenges faced by farmers, driving their income growth and wealth creation.
Expanding global procurement to meet new food demands in China
With a global perspective, COFCO expands our global procurement coverage to promote the efficient allocation of international grain resources and deeper market integration. We aim to bring more quality global agricultural products, such as corn, soybeans, and sugar, into the Chinese market. We are committed to bringing highquality, distinctive agri-food products from around the world to kitchens and dining tables across China, contributing to diversifying China's grain and food portfolio and responding more effectively to Chinese consumers' growing demand for variety.
